Migration & Transition

What happens to our existing SAP Ariba integrations?

Short answer

Existing integrations must be inventoried and assessed. Some will move with standard next-gen connectivity, some will need rework on SAP Integration Suite or new open APIs, and some can be retired. Integration is usually one of the largest workstreams in a transition.

Build an integration inventory

  • ERP connections (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC) for master data, POs, receipts and invoices.
  • Middleware in use (Cloud Integration Gateway, SAP Integration Suite, third-party).
  • Third-party tools: tax, risk, e-invoicing, punch-out catalogs.
  • Custom interfaces and file-based exchanges.

Classify each one

  1. Reuse with standard next-gen connectivity.
  2. Rework on SAP Integration Suite or open APIs.
  3. Retire where a native feature now covers it.

Our Ariba Integration & Support team can help with this assessment.
